Wormsensing raises €9.5 million to accelerate the global rollout of its vibration intelligence solutions
Grenoble, France — 27 October 2026
€450 billion: that is the estimated annual cost of unexpected equipment failures to industry worldwide. Wormsensing has raised €9.5 million to help manufacturers detect the warning signs earlier. The funding will support the expansion of its vibration monitoring solutions and accelerate their international deployment.
Wormsensing, a French company specialising in vibration monitoring solutions for predictive maintenance, process control and quality control, today announces the closing of a €9.5 million Series A funding round. The round is led by Orano Venture Fund, managed by Supernova Invest, with participation from the French Tech Seed fund, managed on behalf of the French government by Bpifrance (France 2030 framework), the Fonds Régional Avenir Industrie Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, managed by UI Investissement, and existing investors Innovacom, KBC Focus Fund and CEA Investissement.
This funding round reflects investors’ confidence in Dragonfly® technology and its ability to address industrial performance challenges. It will enable Wormsensing to strengthen its technological lead, move up the value chain through the digital services associated with its solutions, and accelerate its international commercial expansion.
Our sensor production process is qualified, our monitoring solutions are proven, and our automotive and aerospace customers have measured the benefits in the field. We are now ready to scale. With this funding, our ambition is to establish Dragonfly® as an industry standard by broadening our monitoring offering and expanding into new international markets.
Wormsensing is shifting the paradigm in industrial monitoring. The performance of its monitoring solutions and the results achieved by its customers demonstrate their full potential to advance predictive maintenance, process control and quality. By enabling manufacturers to better anticipate failures and gain greater control over their production assets, Wormsensing offers a concrete response to major industrial challenges. We are convinced that this technology is set to become an industry standard.

Understanding machines to gain greater control over production
Unexpected mechanical failures cost the global manufacturing industry an estimated €450 billion each year. Tool wear, emerging friction and process drift begin with small mechanical deformations that affect production. Without sensors capable of detecting these early signs close to their source, production teams have limited visibility to anticipate unplanned downtime or prevent defective parts.
Developed from research at CEA-Leti, the Dragonfly® piezoelectric sensor attaches directly to a structure and measures its dynamic strain. According to Wormsensing, its technology is up to 1,000 times more sensitive and operates across an exceptionally wide frequency range, enabling the detection of phenomena that conventional technologies may not capture. Analysing these signals can help manufacturers identify mechanical issues earlier and improve predictive maintenance, process control and quality control.
Wormsensing reports average operational gains of approximately €100,000 per machine per year, including:
By extending equipment life, reducing downtime and limiting scrap, the company’s solution can also help reduce material consumption and the environmental footprint of production. This objective is at the heart of the company’s mission.
From sensor to a complete monitoring solution
An initial €3.5 million funding round in 2022 supported Wormsensing’s industrialisation phase. Today, the company develops and manufactures a range of sensors protected by a portfolio of 50 patents and operates its own Hyperion production line in France, with capacity of up to two million Dragonfly® sensors per year.
Beyond Dragonfly®, Wormsensing has developed monitoring solutions combining signal digitisation with application-specific indicators, helping operations, manufacturing engineering and maintenance teams gain greater visibility into their production assets.
The new funding will support the further development of this offering, while simplifying integration into industrial equipment and making measurement data and actionable insights more accessible to customers.
Accelerating deployment across major industrial regions
Wormsensing plans to strengthen its commercial presence across Europe, North America and Asia. This will include expanding its network of partners, integrators and distributors, as well as building the sales, technical and application expertise required to support its customers.
Manufacturing will remain an initial deployment focus, alongside opportunities in aerospace, robotics and energy with solutions adapted to the requirements of each industrial environment.
